Things to try

Here are three beauty goodies you have to try!

L’oreal Volume Millions Lashes – If volume is what you are after, then L’Oreal is always the way to go. No one at the drugstore does volume like this brand. Lashings of the Volume Millions makes your lashes appear thicker but not clumpy. The best part is this mascara gets better with time. It lasts you ages, even after it dries out a little. Reapplication to build up the intensity is also really easy, since the plastic wand separates the hairs. I am not one for plastic wands on mascara’s, I normally prefer natural bristles, but this is definitely an exception!

Mac Select Cover Up Concealer -With a light to medium coverage, this concealer also doubles as a foundation! Its super moisturising formula makes it work like a dream on dry patchy skin. While the coverage isn’t the best, it does the job for a quick application during the day. I believe the product is recommended for use under the eyes due to its moisturising properties, but I use a yellow based shade in NC35 that not only cancels out the red in my skin but also smoothes over dry patches!

Burberry Brit Sheer – With a light note of floral, this fresh fragrance is so divine and un-offensive that you can apply it through out the day and wear it in the day or night time. The fogged up effect of the packaging and it’s iconic Burberry design wrapped around, makes the bottle look timeless yet modern. The best part and the reason why you should try it is because of its lasting power. The fragrance lasts up to six hours on my skin without reapplication, despite its name ‘sheer’. Definitely a fragrance for the summer days, Burberry Brit Sheer is one perfume that is quite the un-sung hero of the lot.
